IN THE NAME OF God Amen.  I Richard Jones of the County of Richmond and parish of Lunenburge planter being in perfect health and sound memory and knowing the certainty of death and the time uncertain do make this my last will and Testament in the manner and form following Viz.

That is to say principally and first of all I commend my soul unto the hands of God who gave it and my body to the Earth to be Buried in Christian like and decent manner at the direction of my Exor.

Imprimis  I give unto my Brother Griffin Jones one shilling sterling

Item  I give unto my Brother John Jones one shilling sterling

Item  I give until my Sister Elizabeth Turner one shilling sterling

Item  I give unto my other Sister Abigal Linn one shilling sterling & no more of my Estate.

Item  I give unto Ann Claxton one Feather Bed and furniture & four head of cattle during her life and if the sd. Ann Claxton should die before Jeremiah Claxton and Elizabeth Claxton her part to be divided Equally between Jeremiah and Elizabeth

Item  I give unto Elizabeth Claxton one feather Bed and furniture and two head of cattle and (six pails?) and if the said Elizath should die before the sd. Jeremiah without heir her part to return to Jeremiah Claxton and for the sd. Jeremiah to pay Elizabeth Claxton fifteen hundred pounds at the age of Eighteen years to pay seven hundred and at the age of Twenty to pay the balance.

Item  I give unto Jeremiah Claxton all the rest of my Estate real & personal after my lawful Debts first be paid and last of all I constitute and appoint the sd. Jeremiah Claxton my whole and Sole ExecutorDisanuling all other former wills and Legaces heretofore made and Ratifying and Confirming this to be my last will and Testament as Witness my hand and Seal this 13th Day of August 1775.
