Mary Ann Claxton (left), world history teacher at Grove School, explains how to count tree rings to one of her history classes Tuesday.  She said the tree, which was located in front of the school, was uprooted after the remnants of Hurricane Katrina passed through the county a couple of weeks ago.  Ms. Claxton said the oak tree has 90 rings, which means it is around 90 years old.  She said her classes were just beginning to study archaeological dating when the tree was cut.  "(Trees) can tell a lot of story," she said, adding the thickness and color of the rings can tell the climate of those years
